Raptor Solutions was founded in 2001 to help Facilities teams deal with their constantly changing requirements. Growing up as the son of the Facilities Manager at Harvard University, our founder, Jon Luby, noticed trends in the industry that focused more on technology and less on process. In the past 30 years, the Space, Move, Maintenance and Real Estate Teams have all tasked with doing more with less; often times implementing expensive, complex and time consuming software that ate away at operational budgets. Raptor Solutions came to existence to partner with those organizations by simplifying processes and managing the complexities of data, CAD, and system administration.
The Name
Experienced professionals in the Facilities industry were becoming extinct. They were leaving the field for greener pastures or simply retiring. Unfortunately much of their knowledge was lost when they left.
There was a striking similarity to the magnificent Raptors in Jon's home state of New Hampshire. Raptors were becoming more and more rare. Birds, in general, have long been considered environmental indicators of changing times; just as our Facilities professionals have always been in their respective fields.
The name Raptor stuck to showcase the resilience of both breeds contending with ever-changing and often harsh environments.
Raptors in New Hampshire have made a tremendous comeback. They are a resilient creature that has learned to adapt and overcome some of the harshest environments. They have also received a helping hand from great organizations such as the New Hampshire Audubon Society whose work with nongame and endangered species is spectacular.
